Visitors to the Capricorn Coast can now experience one of Queensland’s most unique geological landscapes like never before, with Capricorn Caves officially launching its new Karst Walk adventure.
Combining hidden pathways, spectacular limestone formations, panoramic hinterland views and scenic ziplines, the new small-group experience takes guests beyond the traditional visitor trails to discover the remarkable story of an ancient coral reef that has been millions of years in the making.
The guided adventure traverses elevated sections of the Capricorn Caves karst landscape, offering exclusive access to areas rarely seen by visitors. Along the journey, participants gain insight into the geological forces that shaped the region while enjoying breathtaking views across the Hedlow hinterland and the distinctive volcanic plugs that define the Tropic of Capricorn landscape.
Unlike high-adrenaline adventure activities, the Karst Walk has been designed to balance exploration, discovery and fun. Two scenic ziplines are incorporated into the experience, allowing guests to glide across sections of the rugged limestone terrain while taking in the surrounding natural beauty.
Capricorn Caves Education & Program Manager, Karl Grabasch, said the experience reveals a side of Capricorn Caves that many visitors never realise existed.

The Karst Walk Adventure operates in small groups to ensure a personalised and safe experience. Participants must have a moderate level of fitness and be comfortable navigating uneven terrain and elevated sections of the course.
