The official TRA 2024/25 tourism satellite accounts just released, demonstrate that our regional growth is tracking well above the state, re-enforcing the need for regional investment. From City to Coastal towns, Rainforest to Reef, Education to Experiences, 2,900 direct filled jobs are up 10.2% and a further 5,000 indirect filled jobs are up 6.8% across the Capricorn Coast and Rockhampton. The direct and indirect economic value of the tourism industry to our region is critical to our broader economy – and growing!
