2025 Best of Queensland Experience results reflect consumer tick of excellence

Tourism operators across the Capricorn Coast and Rockhampton have once again proven their commitment to excellence, with the release of the 2025 Best of Queensland Experiences Program (BOQEP) results showcasing a year of strong growth and outstanding achievements.

A total of 62 Capricorn tourism businesses were officially recognised as Best of Queensland Experiences in 2025—up from 59 in 2024—representing 59% of all assessed listings in the region.

The program, delivered by Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ) and supported by Queensland’s 13 official Regional Tourism Organisations, independently evaluates tourism businesses across a range of customer-focused criteria.

Capricorn’s average customer satisfaction rating, measured by the independent ReviewPro Global Review Index—which aggregates scores from major online review platforms—rose from 88.35 in 2024 to an impressive 89.24 in 2025. This figure not only exceeds the Queensland state average but also reflects the region’s unwavering focus on consistently delivering high-quality visitor experiences.

The results also showed high levels of digital engagement, with 95% of operators maintaining an active social media presence and 70% offering secure online bookings. RTO membership remained strong at 74%, and formal accreditation participation rose notably from 21% to 27%, demonstrating a growing commitment to quality and industry standards.

Several of our major commercial caravan and holiday parks achieved a flawless score of 100, highlighting their exceptional commitment to quality and visitor satisfaction.

• Poinciana Tourist Park
• Tasman Holiday Parks – Fisherman’s Beach

• Empire Apartment Hotel
• Great Keppel Island Hideaway
• Rockhampton Serviced Apartments
• The Coast Motel
• Mount Morgan Historical Railway Museum
• Freedom Fast Cats
• Keppel Dive and Water Sports

Now in its seventh year, the BOQEP program recognises businesses that consistently deliver exceptional visitor experiences. Recognised operators span accommodation, attractions, food and drink, transport, tours and general tourism services.
