Rockhampton & The Capricorn Coast Region Connects with Travellers at the 2026 Let’s Go Queensland Caravan & Camping Supershow

Our region was again showcased at the Let’s Go Queensland Caravan & Camping Supershow held from 3–7 June 2026, with Capricorn Coast VIC volunteer Lorraine Nielsen representing our destination.

The show saw over 39,000 visitors over the five days, with many drawn into the Drive Queensland stand by the the popular touring guides including the 2026/27 Capricorn Coast Region Visitor and Lifestyle Guide. Visitors regularly commented on the welcoming and informative display, with many stopping to ask for advice and to share their travel plans.

Retirees and soon-to-be retirees made up a large proportion of visitors during the week, seeking information on Queensland’s iconic inland destinations, including Byfield and Great Keppel Island. Many were planning trips during the cooler months and were keen to discuss routes, road conditions, fuel availability and hidden gems along the way.

As the weekend crowds arrived, there was a noticeable shift to younger travellers and working families looking for shorter escapes and holiday ideas. This provided an excellent opportunity to promote the one hour flight to Rockhampton from Brisbane and the many events the region has to offer.

Overall, the event provided a fantastic opportunity to engage with travellers, promote the region and inspire visitors to explore and stay longer.
